Duct Tape Prom Dress
It is impressive how every year, students seem to come up with better concepts. I think it is fascinating to see what seems to be an increasingly creative project for the students. What is even more impressive is the price that they are bound to get if they win - $5,000 scholarship money. With that price, even I will go out of my way to design one.
However, I am not in high school anymore but I can share some tips on how to put together a really nice duct tape prom dress.
* It's duct tape, have mercy on your skin and wear cotton underneath lest you let the paste of the tape to get stuck on your skin and cause some damage. Also, it could get very hot, cotton will help you ease out of the warmth. * The paint you will use on your duct tape may transfer to anything you sit on or lean on. Be aware of this to avoid making any permanent damage on pieces of furniture around you. * Check out the duct tape prom dress that won in the past. Better yet, check out everything you can find so that you know what you are trying to surpass. * You need help, you can't do this alone so summon your friends and make this a bonding experience. * You will stand out from the crowd. No matter how pretty or ugly your dress turns out to be, many people will be curious and they will want to touch it... a lot. Be prepared for this and make sure your dress holds even if people touch it often. * Have a back up just in case something happens. Make sure you have another duct tape prom dress waiting just in case anything happen or, if you wish, another dress altogether.
